quiet time

What is the #1 Thing That Helps You Grow Spiritually?

What is the Number One priority when it comes to the joyful adventure of spiritual growth? If you asked me this question, I would pause to think back to when I first met Jesus at 24 years of age. From that time and on until now, as a 71-year-old, I can easily tell you my answer from experience.

More than any other spiritual practice, having a daily Quiet Time with Jesus is Number One. Nothing compares to spending quality, focused time in His presence. His written Word and His Holy Spirit bring me daily Life. Yes Life with a capital L.

Jesus listens to me and I listen to Him. I increase as a faithful disciple and I increase in making faithful disciples. This is what a quiet time is all about.

We all want to see DISCIPLE MAKERS INCREASE (that’s even the name of this ministry). This is the way to do it.

To see a supernatural increase, we need to live supernatural lives.

Daily quiet time with Jesus is so very important!

A few years ago I made a video on this theme for my fellow YWAM leaders. Though I originally had them in mind—I want this to be a word of encouragement for you too. Please take a few minutes now and hear me out.

Then, I urge you to spend the rest of your life enjoying daily Quiet Times with the Lord Jesus. When you are in your 70s you’ll look back with a smile of satisfaction—and look forward to even more of these times with Jesus.

How consistently do you spend time with God? Start (or re-start) this simple but important practice today!

  1. There is nothing interesting and spiritually feed our faith in Lord Jesus Christ than to meditate God’s word applying it to self and others and to pray about the about the revealed secrets in that word .

Fasting and consistent prayer sessions made me grow spiritually faster then the average new born again Christian.

  3. I know for a fact that I didn’t come by your Facebook post by accident. There are no accidents in the lives of Christians. I thank our Father in the mighty name of our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen. 🙏🏽🙌🏽👏🏽
